Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Chianti, take the SR222 road towards Siena. Follow the road for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach Siena. Once you arrive at Siena, follow signs for 'Centro' to enter the historical center of the city. Parking is limited, so look for parking garages such as Parcheggio Il Campo or Parcheggio della Stazione. Expect to pay around €1.50 per hour. After parking, it's about a 10-minute walk to Torre del Mangia, located in Piazza del Campo.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Chianti, you can take a bus to Siena. Check the local bus schedules for routes such as the 'Siena-Chianti' line. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Siena bus station, walk towards the city center (about 15 minutes) or take a local bus that goes to Piazza del Campo. Upon reaching Piazza del Campo, Torre del Mangia will be right at the square.

• Walking from Siena City Center

  If you are already in Siena, head to Piazza del Campo. The Torre del Mangia is located directly in the square. Look for the tall tower rising above the surrounding buildings. It's an iconic sight, and you can't miss it. If you are coming from the Siena Cathedral, it's a straightforward 10-minute walk downhill towards the square.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Chianti to Torre del Mangia. This option will be more expensive, costing around €50-70 depending on your exact starting point and traffic conditions. The taxi will drop you off directly at Piazza del Campo, making it very convenient.
