If you are starting from the Lucca Train Station, exit the station and head north on Viale Giuseppe Mazzini. Continue straight until you reach the city walls. Once you are at the walls, turn left and walk along the walls until you reach the Porta San Pietro. From there, head east through the gate into the city. Continue straight on Via San Paolino, which will turn into Via Fillungo, the main shopping street. Follow this street until you reach Piazza San Giusto. The Palazzo Ducale di Lucca is located at Cortile Carrara, 1, just a short walk from the piazza.

If you are starting from Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, exit the piazza and head towards Via Fillungo. Turn left onto Via Fillungo and continue walking straight. You will pass several shops and cafes. Keep going until you reach Piazza San Giusto. From there, you can easily find the Palazzo Ducale at Cortile Carrara, 1, just a few minutes away.
