Casa Grotta Narrante is located in Via Madonna delle Virtù, in the Sassi di Matera. From most points within the Sassi, the museum is easily accessible on foot. The Sassi are a pedestrian zone, so walking is the primary way to get around. Follow the signs towards the Chiesa di San Nicola dei Greci; Casa Grotta Narrante is nearby. Be prepared for some uphill and downhill walking on uneven stone streets.

If arriving by bus from Matera Centrale train station, disembark at a stop near the Sassi. From there, follow the walking directions to Via Madonna delle Virtù. Matera's public transport covers the city well. A single ticket costs around €1.50.
