Look for the distinctive façade of the church, which is built into the rock face.

If you are coming from the Matera Cathedral (Cattedrale di Matera), exit the cathedral and head down the steps towards the main street below, Via Muro. Turn left onto Via Muro and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Via S. Pietro Barisano. Turn right on Via S. Pietro Barisano, and continue walking for about 300 meters. The church will be on your left, easily recognizable by its beautiful entrance.
