If you're starting from the Pisa Central Station (Stazione di Pisa Centrale), exit the station and head northeast on Via Roma. Continue on Via Roma until you reach the intersection with Viale Gramsci. Turn left onto Viale Gramsci and follow it until you reach Piazza del Duomo, where you can see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. From Piazza del Duomo, head south on Via Santa Maria. After about 400 meters, you will reach the city walls. Continue walking along the walls until you get to Porta Santa Maria. Once you pass through the gate, turn left onto Via del Molinetto and then take the first right onto Via San Paolino. Continue straight, and you will arrive at Piazza Anfiteatro in approximately 1.5 kilometers.

Starting from the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa, exit the square and head east on Via dei Fiori. Take a left onto Via Santa Maria and follow it until you reach the intersection with Via delle Belle Donne. Turn right onto Via delle Belle Donne, which will lead you to the city walls. Walk along the walls until you reach the entrance at Porta San Donato. Enter through the gate, and then turn right onto Via San Donato. Continue straight, and after about 800 meters, you will find yourself at Piazza Anfiteatro.

From Pisa, you can take a train to Lucca. Board a train from Pisa Centrale to Lucca, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Lucca, exit the train station and walk straight down Viale Giusti until you reach the city walls. Enter through the main gate, and from there, follow the signs leading to Piazza Anfiteatro. It is located about 1 kilometer from the train station and can be reached via a pleasant walk through the historic center of Lucca.
