If you are in the center of Pisa, start at the Piazza dei Miracoli, which is home to the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. From there, head south along Via Santa Maria until you reach the junction with Via di Banchi. Turn left onto Via di Banchi and continue walking straight. After a few minutes, you will reach the train station, Stazione di Pisa Centrale. From here, you can take a train to Lucca. Purchase your ticket at the station and board a train heading towards Lucca. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucca's train station, exit the station and head towards the city center by walking straight. Follow the signs that direct you to the historic city center, which is only about a 15-minute walk. As you walk, you will encounter the ancient walls of Lucca. Keep walking towards the city center until you arrive at Piazzale Umberto I, a beautiful square surrounded by trees.

From the center of Pisa, head to the bus stop located at Via Cammeo, which is near the Pisa Centrale train station. Look for the Bus LAM Rossa (Red Line) that goes to Lucca. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Lucca, disembark at the main bus terminal. From there, walk straight towards the city center, which is only a 10-minute walk away. As you walk, you'll see the historic walls of Lucca. Continue walking until you reach Piazzale Umberto I, a lovely square where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
