Walking
From the heart of Castello, make your way towards the iconic St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco). If you are near the Basilica di San Marco, walk straight towards the square. Once you reach the square, head towards the east side where you will see the Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale). The Palazzo delle Prigioni is located adjacent to the Doge's Palace. Look for the entrance on Calle Seconda de la Fava, which is just a short walk along the side of the palace. It's less than a 10-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square.

Water Bus (Vaporetto)
If you prefer a scenic route, you can take the Vaporetto (water bus) to the nearest stop. From any point in Castello, walk to the nearest Vaporetto stop, such as 'San Zaccaria' or 'Riva degli Schiavoni'. Purchase a ticket at the self-service machines or at the ticket counter (cost is approximately €7.50 for a single ride). Board the Vaporetto Line 1 or Line 2 and disembark at 'San Marco'. From the San Marco stop, follow the same walking directions towards St. Mark’s Square and then to the Palazzo delle Prigioni.
