If you are near the San Polo area, you can reach the Basilica S.Maria Gloriosa dei Frari by walking. From the San Polo market, head southwest on Campo San Polo towards Calle del Campanile. Turn left onto Calle del Campanile. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Calle dei Frari. The basilica will be on your right at San Polo, 3072. Look for the large façade; it is hard to miss!

If you are near the Rialto Bridge, you can also walk to the basilica. From the Rialto Bridge, head southwest through the narrow alleyways towards San Polo. Continue straight until you reach Campo San Polo, then follow the previous directions towards Basilica S.Maria Gloriosa dei Frari.

Water Taxi
If you prefer a more scenic route, consider taking a water taxi. Head to the nearest vaporetto (water bus) stop, which is often near the Grand Canal. Take Line 1 towards 'San Marco' and get off at 'San Stae' or 'Rialto'. From either stop, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the basilica. Follow the walking directions from either point as described above.

Alternatively, you can take the Vaporetto Line 1 or Line 2 to the 'Rialto' stop. After getting off, walk towards the San Polo area. Navigate through the streets to Campo San Polo and then follow the walking directions to Basilica S.Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. Note that a single ticket for the Vaporetto costs around €7.50.
