Getting There

  • Walking

    From San Polo, make your way to the nearest canal. Head towards the Rialto Bridge (Ponte di Rialto) which is a well-known landmark. Cross the bridge and continue straight along the main street (Ruga degli Orefici) until you reach the Campo San Bartolomeo. From there, take a left into the Calle del Sturion and follow it until you reach the next bridge, the Ponte di San Moisè. Cross this bridge and continue straight until you reach the Campo San Luca. At the Campo San Luca, turn right onto the Calle dei Fabbri and continue until you reach the Palazzo Ducale (Doge's Palace). The Bridge of Sighs is located at the back of the Palazzo Ducale, connecting it to the prison. Look for signs pointing towards it.

    If you prefer a more scenic route, you can take a Vaporetto from the nearest stop in San Polo, which is either San Silvestro or Rialto. Board the Vaporetto Line 1 heading towards San Marco.
