Car
If you're traveling by car, start from central Aomori City. Take Route 7 heading northwest. After about 40 kilometers, follow the signs for Hirosaki City. Upon entering Hirosaki, continue straight until you reach the junction with Route 102. Turn left onto Route 102 and follow it for approximately 2 kilometers. The Hirosaki Castle Botanical Garden will be on your right at 1 Shimoshiroganecho. There is parking available near the entrance, but be aware that parking fees may apply, generally around 500 yen for the day.

Public Transportation - Train
To reach Hirosaki Castle Botanical Garden using public transport, take the JR Ou Line from Aomori Station to Hirosaki Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hirosaki Station, exit the station and look for the bus stop outside. Take the Konan Bus (route 100) towards Hirosaki Park; it should take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at 'Hirosaki Park' bus stop. From there, the botanical garden is a short 10-minute walk. Follow the signs towards Hirosaki Castle, and you will find the entrance to the garden nearby.

Alternatively, if you prefer to take a bus from Aomori City directly to Hirosaki City, you can catch a Hirosaki Line bus from Aomori Bus Terminal. The bus ride will take about an hour and drop you off at Hirosaki Station. From there, transfer to the Konan Bus (route 100) towards Hirosaki Park. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes, and you will get off at the 'Hirosaki Park' bus stop. The botanical garden is then a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
