Continue driving on the Sanyo Expressway until you reach the exit for Fukuyama. After exiting, follow the signs for Route 2 (National Route 2) towards Onomichi. Drive along this route until you reach the junction for Route 180, then take Route 180 towards Hiroshima. Finally, follow the signs for Hōnsenji Temple in Shinagawa City, Tokyo. Make sure to set your GPS for accurate navigation as you approach your destination. Note that parking may be limited near the temple, so plan accordingly.

To reach Hōnsenji Temple using public transportation, start by locating your nearest train station in Bingo. From there, take a train on the Sanyo Main Line towards Fukuyama. Upon arriving at Fukuyama Station, transfer to the Shinkansen (bullet train) bound for Tokyo. The journey will take about 4 hours. Once you arrive at Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and head towards Shinagawa Station. Disembark at Shinagawa Station. From Shinagawa Station, you can take a taxi directly to Hōnsenji Temple or use local buses that service the area. The taxi ride should take about 10 minutes, and bus fares typically cost around 200 yen.
