Getting There

    If you are driving, take the Fukuoka Expressway from Chikugo towards Miyama. Depending on your starting point in Chikugo, you will need to merge onto Route 3 (Kyushu Expressway) and then take the exit towards Miyama. Continue on Route 386 for about 15 minutes, following the signs for Kiyomizudera. The temple is located at 1119-1 Setakamachi Motoyoshi, Miyama, Fukuoka 835-0003. There is a parking lot available near the temple, which may have a small fee, so be prepared with cash just in case.

    To reach Kiyomizudera by public transport, start at Chikugo station. Take a train on the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line towards Omuta and transfer at Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station.
