Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Nishitetsu Yame Technical High School bus stop, walk southeast along Route 52 for approximately 400 meters. Turn left at the intersection onto Route 214, walking approximately 100 meters. Turn right onto the main street (Motomachi). The Yame Tourist Information Center will be on your left-hand side after about 50 meters. No costs are associated with this final approach.

  • Public Transport

    From JR Hainuzuka Station, take a Nishitetsu or Horikawa bus towards Yame city center. Get off at the Fukushima bus stop. From there, walk east along the main street (Motomachi) for about 200 meters. The Yame Tourist Information Center will be on your right. The bus fare from Hainuzuka Station to Fukushima is approximately ¥300.

  • Driving

    From the Yame Interchange (Yame IC) on the Kyushu Expressway, follow Route 3 towards Yame City. After approximately 5 kilometers, turn onto Route 58 towards the city center. Continue for about 2 kilometers, then turn left onto Motomachi street. The Yame Tourist Information Center will be on your right. Parking is available nearby, but fees may apply. Expect to pay around ¥200-¥300 per hour for parking.
