Discover more about Jogahana Park

Jogahana Park, nestled in Ukiha, Fukuoka Prefecture, provides a serene environment for relaxation and appreciation of nature. Built in 1957, the park offers hillside views of the Mino Mountains. It's a popular spot, especially in spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, creating a stunning contrast with the vermillion torii gates of Ukiba Inari Shrine.Ukiba Inari Shrine, located within Jogahana Park, is dedicated to three deities: Ugamitama no Kami, Oyamagui no Kami, and Sugawara no Michizane. These deities are associated with prosperity, harvests, sake production, health, longevity, and academics. Climbing through the series of red torii gates leads to a viewpoint with vistas of Harazuru Hot Springs and the Amagi area on clear days. While the park itself may be simple, the combination of the shrine, the views, and the seasonal cherry blossoms make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking a quiet escape in the Ukiha countryside.
