Car
If you are driving, start from Toyama Station. Head south on Route 41 for approximately 10 minutes. After passing the Toyama Prefectural Office on your left, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 8. Turn left onto Route 8 and follow the signs for Toyama Castle. You will soon see the castle on your right. The Toyama City Local History Museum is located at 1-62 Honmaru, directly adjacent to the castle.
Public Transportation
From Toyama Station, take the Toyama Light Rail (Toyama City Tram) Line 1 towards the 'Inotani' station. Get off at 'Castle Town' station, which is about a 15-minute ride. Once you exit the tram, walk towards the Toyama Castle, which is a short 5-minute walk. The Toyama City Local History Museum is located at 1-62 Honmaru, right next to the castle.

If you are already in the Toyama city center, you can walk to the Toyama City Local History Museum. From the Toyama City Hall, head east on Route 8. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Toyama Castle. The museum is located at 1-62 Honmaru, immediately adjacent to the castle grounds.
