Getting There

    Start your journey at Hakata Station, the main train station in Fukuoka. Take the Kuko Line (Airport Line) towards Meinohama. Ride for one stop and get off at Tenjin Station. At Tenjin Station, transfer to the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line. Take the train bound for Wakamatsu. Get off at the last stop, Wakamatsu Station.

    From Wakamatsu Station, exit the station and head to the bus stop for Nishitetsu buses. Board the Nishitetsu Bus No. 33 or No. 34. These buses will take you towards Shikashima. Get off at the Shikaumi Shrine bus stop, which is directly in front of the shrine.
