The Statue of Otojiro Kawakami is located at the entrance to the Kawabata Shopping Arcade in Kamikawabatamachi, Hakata Ward. From the Nakasu-Kawabata Subway Station, take exit 5 or 7. Walk straight ahead into the Kawabata Shopping Arcade; the statue will be immediately visible upon entering. There is no cost for viewing the statue.

Take the Fukuoka City Subway to Nakasu-Kawabata Station. From Hakata Station, take the Kuko Line (approx. 5 minutes, ¥260). From Tenjin Station, take the Kuko Line (approx. 2 minutes, ¥200). Exit the station via exit 5 or 7 and walk straight ahead into the Kawabata Shopping Arcade; the statue will be immediately visible upon entering. Bus options are also available to the Kawabata area.
