If you are already in the Tenjin area, the Statue of Otojiro Kawakami is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Tenjin subway station. Start by heading south on the main street (Tenjin Chuo-dori) until you reach the intersection with Watanabe-dori. Turn left onto Watanabe-dori and continue walking straight. After about 10 minutes, you will reach a large intersection. Cross the street and continue straight onto Kamikawabatamachi. The statue is located at 12 Kamikawabatamachi, right next to the Fukuoka City Museum.

From Tenjin, you can also take the Nishitetsu bus. Look for the bus stop labeled 'Tenjin Bus Center' and take bus number 100 or 200 towards Hakata.
