If you are near Hakata Station, take the Kuko Line (Airport Line) towards Meinohama. Get off at the next stop, Nakasu-Kawabata Station. Once you exit the station, take Exit 3. After exiting, head straight until you reach the intersection, then turn left onto Nakasu Street. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you see the Hakata Machiya Hometown Museum on your right at 6-10 Reisenmachi.
