Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Hakone, start by getting onto the Odawara-Atsugi Road (Route 135) heading towards Kamakura. Follow the signs and continue for about 30 km. Once you reach Kamakura, look for Route 204 and turn right onto Ogigayatsu Street. Eishō-ji Temple is located at 1 Chome-16-3 Ogigayatsu, Kamakura. There is limited parking available near the temple, so be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.

  • Public Transportation

    From Hakone, take the Hakone Tozan Railway to Odawara Station. The train ride takes about 40 minutes. At Odawara Station, transfer to the JR Tokaido Line and take a train to Kamakura Station, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kamakura Station, exit the station and head to the bus stop. Take the Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu Bus (Line 23) towards Kamakura Daigaku (Kamakura University) and get off at Ogigayatsu Bus Stop. From there, it is a 5-minute walk to Eishō-ji Temple.
