Getting There

  • Car

    From Hakone, take Route 1 (Hakone-Yumoto to Odawara) and head towards Fujisawa. Once on Route 1, follow the signs for Enoshima. After approximately 40 minutes, merge onto Route 134 towards Enoshima. Look for signs to Enoshima Island. You will be able to find parking near the island. Note that parking fees may apply, typically around 500-1000 yen per day.

  • Train

    From Hakone-Yumoto Station, take the Hakone Tozan Railway to Odawara Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes. At Odawara Station, transfer to the JR Tokaido Line and take a train towards Atami. Get off at Fujisawa Station (the total travel time is around 40 minutes). After arriving at Fujisawa Station, take the Enoden Line (Enoshima Electric Railway) directly to Enoshima Station, which takes about 20 minutes. Once you reach Enoshima Station, it is a short 10-minute walk to Enoshima Daishi.

    From Hakone, take a bus from the Hakone-Yumoto area to Odawara Station. Once at Odawara, transfer to the Fujikyu Bus that heads towards Enoshima. The bus ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Get off at the Enoshima bus stop. From there, it is a short walk to Enoshima Daishi. Keep in mind that bus fares typically range from 500 to 1000 yen depending on your starting point.
