By Car
If you are driving from central Kai, head south on Route 20 towards Kofu. Continue on Route 20 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the intersection for Route 27. Take Route 27 towards Mitaka. After about 5 kilometers, follow signs for Inokashira Park. Upon entering the park, look for parking signs. There is a parking lot near the Inokashira Boat House, but a fee may apply (approximately 500 yen for a few hours). Once parked, walk towards the lake, and you will see the boat house located at Inokashira Park.

By Public Transportation (Train and Walk)
Start by making your way to the nearest train station in Kai. Take the JR Chuo Line from Kai Station to Mitaka Station. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Mitaka Station, take the South Exit. From there, you can either walk or take a bus. If you choose to walk, it’s about a 20-minute stroll (1.5 kilometers) to Inokashira Park. Follow the signs towards Inokashira Park, and you’ll eventually reach the Inokashira Boat House. Alternatively, you can take the bus (approximately 210 yen) from the station, which will drop you off near the park entrance.

From central Kai, locate the nearest bus stop that services the area towards Mitaka. Board a bus that heads to Mitaka Station (check the bus schedule for routes and timings). The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. Upon arriving at Mitaka Station, exit the bus and walk towards Inokashira Park, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs directing you to the park entrance, and you will find the Inokashira Boat House near the lake.
