From the Kumano Kodo trail, head towards the nearest major town, Koya. Take Route 311 to Koya, which is approximately a 45-minute drive. Follow the signs for Koyasan. Once in Koya, navigate to 306 Koyasan, where the Koyasan Reihokan Museum is located. Parking is available near the museum, but check for any fees.

From Kumano Kodo, take a bus to Katsuura Station. From there, catch the Nankai Koya Line train to Gokurakubashi Station. This journey takes about 2 hours. At Gokurakubashi Station, transfer to the cable car that will take you up to Koyasan. Upon arrival at Koyasan Station, you can walk or take a local bus to the museum located at 306 Koyasan. Be aware of the bus schedules, as they may be limited.
