Public Transport
If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line from Kyoto Station towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Shijo Station (about 3 stops, approximately 5 minutes). From Shijo Station, take Exit 1. After exiting, walk straight along Shijo Street until you reach the intersection with Hanayacho. Turn left onto Hanayacho Street and continue walking straight for about 5 minutes. The Costume Museum will be on your right, located on the 5th floor of the Izutsu Sanjo Building.

If you are near Nishiki Market, exit the market from the main street and head east to Hanamikoji Street. Turn right on Hanamikoji Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Shijo Street. Cross Shijo Street and continue walking straight until you reach Hanayacho Street. Turn left at Hanayacho Street, and the Costume Museum will be on your right, located on the 5th floor of the Izutsu Sanjo Building.

If you prefer to take a taxi, simply tell the driver 'Hanayacho, Izutsu Sanjo Building.' It is a well-known location, and the ride from most central locations in Kyoto should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the building.
