    If you are at Kyoto Station, head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Look for the bus stop labeled 'Kyoto City Bus'. Take bus number 204 or 205 towards 'Daitoku-ji' (大徳寺). The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Daitoku-ji' stop. From the bus stop, walk for about 5 minutes to reach Daitoku-ji Temple, which will be on your right.

  • Subway and Walking

    If you are near the Kyoto City Subway, take the Karasuma Line from 'Kyoto Station' to 'Kitaoji Station'. The ride will take about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Kitaoji Station, take the exit for 'Kitaoji Bus Terminal'. From there, board bus number 204 or 205 towards 'Daitoku-ji'. It will take about 10 minutes to reach the Daitoku-ji stop. After getting off, walk for about 5 minutes to the temple, which will be on your right.

    If you are staying in the central area of Kyoto, you can walk to Daitoku-ji Temple from the nearby area. For example, if you are at Nijo Castle, it will take about 30 minutes on foot. Head north on Karasuma Street until you reach the intersection with Oike Street. Turn left onto Oike Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Kitayama Street. Turn right, and continue until you see the signs for Daitoku-ji Temple, which will be on your left.
