Public Transportation
If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Tofuku-ji Station (approximately 5 minutes). From Tofuku-ji Station, transfer to the Keihan Main Line and take the train to Gion-Shijo Station (about 10 minutes). Exit the station and head towards the east on Shijo Avenue. After about a 10-minute walk, you will reach Hanamikoji Street, which is on your left. Look for the signs pointing towards Gion as you approach.
