Getting There

Train
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Kyoto Line towards Osaka. Once you arrive at Takatsuki Station, transfer to the Hankyu Takatsuki Line and take a train towards Hirakata. Get off at Hirakata Station. From Hirakata Station, exit the station and head southwest on the main road for about 10 minutes until you reach Hirakata Park, located at 1-1 Hirakatakoencho.

At Kyoto Station, find the bus terminal and take the Kyoto City Bus #26 towards Hirakata. Stay on the bus for about 30-40 minutes and get off at the Hirakata Park stop. The park entrance will be a short walk from the bus stop, just follow the signs.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Kyoto. Head east towards the Kamo River, follow the river north until you reach the intersection with Route 1.
