Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Imadegawa Station (approximately 10 minutes). Exit the station from Exit 1. Walk straight down Imadegawa Street for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Tsuruyamacho. Turn left onto Tsuruyamacho, and you will find Homman-ji Temple on your left.

  • Walking

    If you are staying in the central area of Kyoto, such as near Nishiki Market, you can walk to Homman-ji Temple. Head north on Shijo Street until you reach the intersection with Karasuma Street. Turn left onto Karasuma Street and continue until you reach Imadegawa Street. Turn right onto Imadegawa Street and walk straight for about 20 minutes. When you reach Tsuruyamacho, turn left, and the temple will be on your left.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle at one of the rental shops near Kyoto Station. Head north along the Kamogawa River, then turn right onto Imadegawa Street. Continue until you reach Tsuruyamacho. Turn left, and you will find Homman-ji Temple on your left. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes.
