Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus number 202 or 207. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at 'Tōfuku-ji Temple' bus stop. After disembarking, walk approximately 5 minutes northeast following the signs to Tōfuku-ji Temple.
Train
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. Get off at Tofuku-ji Station, which is about a 5-minute ride. Exit the station and walk approximately 10 minutes east towards Tōfuku-ji Temple, following the signs.
Walking
If you are in the Gion area, you can walk to Tōfuku-ji Temple. Head south on Hanamikoji Street, then turn left onto Shijo Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Karasuma Street. Turn right, walk straight until you reach the Tōfuku-ji Temple, which should take about 30 minutes.
Taxi
If you prefer a taxi, simply tell the driver 'Tōfuku-ji Temple' (東福寺). The ride from most central locations in Kyoto should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
