Start your journey at Kyoto Station. From the station, take the JR Biwako Line (also known as the Tōkaidō Main Line) towards Maibara. Disembark at Koka Station, which takes about 30 minutes. From Koka Station, you will need to take a taxi or a local bus to reach the MIHO MUSEUM, as it is approximately 10 kilometers away. Taxis are readily available outside the station and should take around 15 minutes to reach the museum.

From Kyoto Station, take bus number 206 or 100 to the Shijo Kawaramachi bus stop. From there, transfer to the Koka City Bus bound for Koka Station. The total journey will take about an hour and a half. Once you arrive at Koka Station, you can take a taxi to the MIHO MUSEUM, which is about 10 kilometers away.
