    If you are traveling from Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara and get off at Uji Station. From Uji Station, transfer to the Keihan Uji Line and take the train heading towards the Takeda Station. Get off at the next stop, which is Ujitawara Station. From Ujitawara Station, exit and turn left onto Route 1. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Kawakami-149 Okuyamada, where Shoju-in (Furin-ji) is located.

    From Kyoto, take the Meishin Expressway and exit at the Uji Interchange. Follow the signs for Route 1 and head towards Ujitawara. Continue on Route 1, and after approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach Kawakami-149 Okuyamada. Shoju-in (Furin-ji) will be on your right. Make sure to look for parking options nearby as space may be limited.

    If you prefer a taxi, you can easily get one from any major station in Kinki (Kansai). Just tell the driver to take you to 'Kawakami-149 Okuyamada, Ujitawara, Tsuzuki District, Kyoto.' The ride from Kyoto Station should take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
