Getting There

    From Kyoto Station, take bus number 100 or 205. Ride for about 15 minutes until you reach the 'Gion' bus stop. Once you get off, walk towards the Shirakawa Canal by heading east along Shijo Avenue. Turn right onto Shirakawa-dori street and you will see the canal shortly. It should take about 5 minutes on foot.

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line towards Kokusaikaikan and get off at 'Shijo Station'. Exit the station using Exit 1. Walk east along Shijo Street for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Shirakawa-dori. Turn right onto Shirakawa-dori, and the Shirakawa Canal will be on your left.
