Getting There

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Uji Station. After exiting the station, turn left and follow the signs towards the Uji River.

    Once you reach Uji Station, walk towards the Uji River, which is about a 10-minute walk. You will see the river on your left side. Continue walking along the river until you reach the Uji Bridge (Uji Bashi).

    Cross the Uji Bridge, and you will find yourself in the heart of Uji. From the bridge, head straight and follow the road until you reach the intersection with Maruyama Street. Turn right onto Maruyama Street.

    Continue walking along Maruyama Street for about 5 minutes. You will see the entrance to Uji and Tea Town Historical Park on your left at Maruyama-203-1 Todo. The park is a well-signposted area, so you should have no trouble finding it.
