    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Uji Station. The journey takes approximately 17-21 minutes. From Uji Station (JR Nara Line), it is about a 17-minute walk to Hanayashiki Ukifune-En. Alternatively, from Osaka Yodobashi Station or Sanjo Station, take the Keihan Railway to Uji Station, and walk for approximately 15 minutes. The train fare from Kyoto Station to Uji Station is between ¥260-¥390.

  • Taxi

    From Kyoto Station, a taxi ride to Hanayashiki Ukifune-En takes approximately 23 minutes and costs between ¥7,000-¥8,500. Taxi services are readily available at Kyoto Station.

  • Car

    Hanayashiki Ukifune-En is accessible by car. From Osaka, take the Keiji Bypass Uji Nishi IC exit. From Tokyo/Nagoya, take the Keiji Bypass Uji-higashi IC exit. Parking is complimentary for guests. However, Byodoin Temple doesn't provide car parking for visitors. There are several paid car parks near the temple including the “Uji Car Parking” in front of the temple's South Gate. There is also Uji Parking, which has a maximum charge.
