Train
Start your journey from Kyoto Station. Take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. Ride the train for approximately 30 minutes until you reach Uji Station. From Uji Station, exit the station and head towards the main road.

Walking
Once at Uji Station, walk straight out of the station and take a left onto the main road (Uji River) which is called Renge Uji. You will see signs directing you towards Byodo-in Temple. Continue walking for about 15 minutes, crossing the river, and you will reach Byodo-in Omotesando.

Alternatively, from Uji Station, you can take a local bus. Look for the bus stop directly outside the station. Take the bus that heads towards Byodoin (Byodo-in), which is a short ride of about 5 minutes. Get off at the Byodo-in stop, and you will be just a short walk from the Omotesando area.
