Getting There

  • Subway

    Start at Nagoya Station. Take the Higashiyama Line (light blue line) towards Fujigaoka. Ride for 6 stops and get off at Chikusa Station. Transfer to the Iwatsuka Line (brown line) at Chikusa Station. Take the Iwatsuka Line towards Iwatsuka and get off at the next stop, Hoocho Station. Exit Hoocho Station and walk south on Hoocho Street for about 10 minutes until you reach Kakuōzan Nittai-ji on your right.

  • Bus

    From Nagoya Station, head to the Nagoya City Bus Terminal located at the station. Take Bus No. 23 towards Sakae. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the Kakuōzan Nittai-ji stop. From the bus stop, walk about 5 minutes east on Hoocho Street until you see the temple entrance.

  • Walking

    If you are near Sakae, you can walk to Kakuōzan Nittai-ji. Head southeast on Hisaya Odori Avenue towards Nagoya TV Tower. Continue straight until you reach Chikusa Ward. From there, follow Hoocho Street south for approximately 25 minutes until you arrive at the temple.
