Public Transport

If you are starting from Nagoya Station, take the Higashiyama Line (Yellow Line) and head towards Fujigaoka. Change trains at Sakae Station to the Meijo Line (Purple Line) towards Nagoya Castle. Get off at the Nagoya Castle Station. From the station, exit and follow the signs to Nagoya Castle. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, passing through the castle grounds until you reach the Seimon, Main Gate (Former Enokida-mon Gate).

If you are already in the Naka Ward area, you can walk to Seimon, Main Gate. Start at the Nagoya City Art Museum or the Oasis 21 complex. Head towards Nagoya Castle by walking west along the main road. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes. As you approach the castle grounds, you will see signs directing you to the Main Gate, which is located at the Honmaru area.
Bus

From the Nagoya Station, take the City Bus #16 towards Nagoya Castle. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Nagoya Castle' stop.
