Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the main ferry terminal in Naoshima Island. Head east on Route 30, following the signs for the Kagawa Prefecture. After approximately 5 km, you'll need to take a ferry from Naoshima to Okayama. The ferry fare is around 1,200 yen for a one-way trip. Once you arrive at Okayama, continue driving on Route 2 towards Soja. After about 30 minutes, look for signs to Kuroo, where the Kinojo Castle Ruins are located. There is a parking area near the ruins.

    For those using public transportation, start at the Naoshima ferry terminal and take the ferry to Okayama. The fare is approximately 1,200 yen. Once in Okayama, take a local train to Soja Station (around 30 minutes journey). From Soja Station, you can take a local bus to Kuroo (the bus fare is around 500 yen).
