Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main city area of Oki. Use Route 86 to head towards Naha, Okinawa. Follow the signs for Shuri Castle, which is located at 1-2 Shurikinjocho, Naha, Okinawa 903-0815. There is parking available near the castle, but be aware that there may be a parking fee, typically around 300-500 JPY for a few hours.
Public Transportation - Bus
For those using public transportation, take a bus from your location in Oki to Naha. Look for routes that head towards Shuri or Naha Bus Terminal. Upon arriving at the Naha Bus Terminal, transfer to the number 8 or 12 bus, which will take you directly to Shuri Castle. The bus fare from Oki to Naha is approximately 1,000-1,500 JPY. The bus ride to Shuri Castle from the terminal should take around 20 minutes.
Walking
If you prefer to walk after arriving in the Shuri area, the castle is about a 15-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. From the bus stop, head towards Shurikinjocho and follow the signs leading to Shuri Castle. The route is fairly straightforward, but be prepared for some uphill walking as the castle is situated on elevated ground.
