Public Bus
If you're starting from Naha city center, head to the Naha Bus Terminal. Look for buses heading towards Shuri. The bus numbers you should take are 6, 17, or 18. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Shuri' stop. From there, walk up the hill towards Shuri Castle, following the signs. The Succession Gate is located just before the main entrance of Shuri Castle.

Monorail and Walking
From any location within Naha, you can take the Okinawa Urban Monorail (Yui Rail) to Shuri Station. Once you arrive at Shuri Station, exit the station and take a left at the intersection. It’s a 15-minute uphill walk to Shuri Castle. Follow the signs for Shuri Castle, and you will reach the Succession Gate just before the main entrance.
