    From central Osaka, take the Osaka Metro Chuo or Yotsubashi Line to Cosmosquare Station. Transfer to the New Tram Nanko Port Town Line and get off at Ferry Terminal Station. From there, transfer to the Osaka City Bus and get off at Nanko Minami 6-chome bus stop. The park is a short walk from the bus stop. Subway fares range from ¥190 to ¥340 for adults, depending on the distance. Bus fare is a flat rate of ¥210 for adults.

Nanko Fishing Park, established in 1979, stands as Osaka Prefecture's only sea fishing park, offering a unique and accessible marine experience. The park's primary goal has always been to encourage citizens to engage with the bay and enjoy fishing. Situated on the South Pier of Osaka Nanko, the park features a robust 600-meter seawall that can accommodate hundreds of fishers simultaneously. The park is designed with safety and convenience in mind, boasting a flat, paved footpath and secure handrails, making it an ideal location for children and beginners. Fishing instructors are available every Sunday to teach basic fishing skills and rules, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Gear rental is available, and a shop sells snacks and drinks. A resting room is also available. Throughout the year, the park teems with a variety of fish species, including horse mackerel, sardines, rockfish, octopus, black porgy, scorpion fish, cutlassfish, sea bass, and sea bream. Tachiuo, or silver cutlassfish, are particularly abundant from late summer through November. The spacious fishing park can comfortably host 450 to 500 people at once.
