    If you're driving, begin your journey in Settsu. Use a GPS or map app to navigate to 261 Kumogahatadetanicho, Kita Ward, Kyoto, 603-8861. From Settsu, take Route 170 (also known as the Kinki Expressway) heading towards Kyoto. Follow signs towards Kyoto city center. Once you reach Kyoto, continue on Route 162 and then Route 1 towards Kita Ward. The temple will be on your right-hand side. There is limited parking available near the temple; parking fees may apply.

    For those using public transportation, start by taking the train from Settsu to Osaka. Board the JR Kobe Line at Settsu Station and travel to Osaka Station (approximately 20 minutes). From Osaka Station, transfer to the JR Kyoto Line and head to Kyoto Station (about 30 minutes). Upon arriving at Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus #204 or #205 towards Kitano Tenmangu. Get off at the Kumogahatadetanicho stop, which is a short walk from Shimyo-in Temple. The entire trip may take around 1 hour and 30 minutes, and bus fares will apply.
