Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from central Settsu, head north on Route 1 towards Kyoto. After approximately 20 kilometers, merge onto Route 367 towards Kurama. Continue on Route 367 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the sign for Kifune Shrine. Park at the designated parking area near the shrine, which may charge a fee of approximately 500 yen for parking.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Kifune Shrine using public transport, take the Hankyu Takarazuka Line from Settsu to Katsura Station. Transfer to the Kyoto City Bus and take Bus No. 33 towards Kurama. Get off at the 'Kifune' bus stop. From there, it's a short 10-15 minute walk to the shrine. The total fare for the bus will be around 600 yen.

  • Combination of Train and Bus

    Start at Settsu, and take the JR train to Demachiyanagi Station. From Demachiyanagi, transfer to the Eizan Railway and take the Eizan Cable Car to Kurama Station. Once you arrive at Kurama Station, board the Eizan Bus that goes to Kifune Shrine. The total fare for this combination is approximately 700 yen.
