The Shikoku Railway Cultural Center displays valuable railway carriages, including the first-generation 0 Series Shinkansen (bullet train) that operated between Tokyo and Osaka in 1964, and a Class DF50 diesel locomotive. The South Wing features a Class C57 steam locomotive, a KiHa 65 express diesel multiple unit train car, a Class DE10 diesel locomotive, and a car from the former experimental Gauge Change Train. The Shinji Sogo Memorial Museum is dedicated to Shinji Sogo, the fourth president of Japan National Railways and a former mayor of Saijo, who is known as the “father of the Shinkansen”. The museum showcases Sogo's achievements and contributions to the development of the bullet train. The Tourist Information Center provides information about Saijo's sightseeing spots, local products, and souvenirs. A life-size danjiri float, used in the Saijo Festival, is on display year-round.
