If you are traveling by car, you can reach Sanriku Fukko National Park from various locations in Tohoku. From Sendai, take the Tohoku Expressway (E4) towards Morioka. Exit at the Kesennuma IC and follow Route 45 north towards Kesennuma city. Continue on Route 45 until you see signs for Sanriku Fukko National Park. The park's entrance is located at Karakuwacho Sakihama, Kesennuma, Miyagi 988-0554. The total drive from Sendai is approximately 2.5 hours, depending on traffic.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a Shinkansen (bullet train) from Sendai Station to Ichinoseki Station. The journey takes around 1 hour. From Ichinoseki, transfer to the JR Kesennuma Line and take a train to Kesennuma Station, which takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kesennuma Station, you can take a local bus (e.g., the Kesennuma City Bus) heading towards Sanriku Fukko National Park. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you will need to pay a fare, usually around 500 yen. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited.
