If you are traveling by car, start from Sendai, which is a major city in the Tohoku region. Take the Tohoku Expressway (E4) towards Matsushima. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit at Matsushima and follow the signs for Route 45 towards Higashimatsushima. Continue on Route 45 for about 15 kilometers. Once you reach Higashimatsushima, follow the local signs to the Reconstruction Memorial Park, located at Kitayokei-56-36 Nobiru. There is parking available at the park.
