If you are driving from the Yakushima Airport, take Route 78 towards Miyanoura. Continue on Route 78 and follow the signs toward Isso. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach Isso. From Isso, head towards the coast and follow the signs for the East China Sea Observatory. The observatory is located in a park area, and you should look for parking nearby upon arrival.
