If you are driving from Miyanoura Port, take Route 111 heading north for approximately 15 minutes. Follow the signs for Shiratani Unsui Gorge. Turn left onto Route 78 and continue for about 5 minutes. Look for the entrance to Shiratani Unsui Gorge on your right. There is parking available at the entrance, but note that it may fill up quickly during peak seasons. Parking fees may apply, so be prepared with some cash.

Public Transportation
From Miyanoura, take a local bus bound for Shiratani Unsui Gorge. The bus departs from the Miyanoura bus terminal. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited, especially on weekends and holidays. The bus fare is around 500 yen one way. The bus will drop you off directly at the entrance of Shiratani Unsui Gorge.

If you enjoy hiking and are staying nearby, you can walk to Shiratani Unsui Gorge from Miyanoura. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Head north on Route 111, then turn left onto Route 78. Follow the road signs for Shiratani Unsui Gorge. The walk is scenic, but be sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water, as there are no facilities along the way.
