Experience Fujisan World Heritage Center

Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, start from Kofu City, the capital of Yamanashi Prefecture. Get on Route 20 from Kofu and follow the signs for Fujikawaguchiko. After approximately 40 km, take Route 139 towards Fujikawaguchiko. Continue on this road for about 12 km. When you reach the Funatsu area, follow the signs for the Fujisan World Heritage Center, which will be located at 6663-1 Funatsu. There is parking available on site, but it may incur a fee of around 500 yen.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Fujisan World Heritage Center using public transportation, start by taking the Fujikyu Railway from Kofu Station to Fujikawaguchiko Station. This journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 1,200 yen. Upon arriving at Fujikawaguchiko Station, exit the station and take a local bus (the Fujikawaguchiko Onsen area line) towards the Fujisan World Heritage Center. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes and costs about 300 yen. Get off at the Fujisan World Heritage Center stop, and you'll find the center right in front of you.
