Walking
From the Petra Visitor Center, head directly towards the main entrance of Petra. You will walk through a pathway lined with vendors and information booths. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will arrive at the entrance of the archaeological site. Continue straight ahead through the Siq, which is a narrow gorge leading to Al-Siq. The walk through the Siq is about 1.2 kilometers and takes you through breathtaking rock formations. Look for the towering cliffs on either side as you approach Al-Siq, which will lead you directly to the iconic Treasury.
