Car
From Almaty city center, take the road towards Medeu. Follow signs for Medeu and continue driving on the Almaty - Medeu road (A3). After approximately 15 km, you will reach the Medeu Ice Rink. From there, continue for about 10 km until you see the sign for Gorel'nik thermal source. Turn left at the sign and follow the dirt road for about 3 km until you reach the thermal source. Note that a parking fee may be applicable near the thermal source.

Public Transportation
Take bus number 12 from Almaty city center to Medeu. The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Medeu Ice Rink, you can either walk (approximately 6 km) towards the Gorel'nik thermal source or take a taxi from the ice rink for about 1500-2000 KZT. If walking, follow the main road from Medeu, and after about 10-15 minutes, look for the sign for Gorel'nik. The thermal source is located about 3 km down the dirt road adjacent to the sign.
